The essence of a law firm is helping people, and in order to do that well, a law firm must hire and retain excellent employees. On May 30th, White Peterson had the privilege of celebrating Jan Achey’s fifty years of work as a legal assistant and paralegal at the firm. Jan started work on May 30, 1972, when the lawyers in the firm were Dick Weeks, Bud Yost and Terry White. At that time, she was taking shorthand on memo pads and typing on typewriters with carbon paper and onion skin duplicates. Edits by the attorneys or changes by clients could mean hours of re-typing. Over the years, Jan has assisted clients with a variety of legal matters, but especially real estate, probate, and estate planning.
The clients and lawyers at White Peterson are honored to have had Jan Achey choose to stay with us for fifty years, providing excellent work, and a dedication to service that exemplifies the best in our profession. We are thankful for Jan and what she brings to our firm.
